Some dreams are born in childhood, others take shape over time, fueled by experience, passion, and an insatiable hunger for something better. For our Executive Chef, Michael Blocker, that hunger was literal — a lifelong quest for the perfect burger. The kind that doesn’t just look mouthwatering but delivers on every bite. A burger crafted with intention, expertise, and a love for the grill that ignites the senses.

Michael’s journey began in 1992, driven by a passion for food and its power to bring people together. Starting as a manager in fast food restaurants, he gained hands-on experience in both operations and the kitchen, mastering the fundamentals of the industry. But his vision extended far beyond restaurant management. He saw food as an art and a shared experience. Determined to elevate his craft, he worked his way through hotels, universities, and fine dining restaurants, refining his skills and learning the business from the inside out. Along the way, he played a key role in opening multiple dining establishments, always leaving his mark with a signature touch on every plate.

But it wasn’t just the kitchen that shaped him — it was the people. The connections made, the meals shared, and the moments that transformed ordinary dining into unforgettable experiences. In 2013, Michael took his passion to the next level, attending culinary school to sharpen his technique, deepen his understanding, and merge his love for hospitality with business acumen. He wasn’t just learning to cook, he was preparing to lead.

And then, in 2017, a single customer review changed everything: “Give him his own kitchen, and watch him work.” Those words burned into his memory, serving as a beacon for the dream he carried in his heart.

With years of hard work, prayer, and the unwavering support of family and friends, the dream finally became reality. On February 18, 2025, Blazin Craft Burgers & Wings was born — not just a restaurant, but a testament to perseverance, passion, and the pursuit of the perfect burger.
